My Story and my excitement stems from my personal experience and realization of the healthful and healing power of real food! With a few diet and lifestyle adjustments, I have personally experienced a significant increase in my level of energy, clearer and brighter skin, eliminated my chronic sinus congestion and have won the battle against the four O'clock fatigue! I'm no longer tired-out at that half-way point in the day! I have also helped family members lose excess weight, increase their energy and transform in their health status... all with simple adjustments in their diet and lifestyle!
No pills, no powders, no shakes and no multi-level-marketing products used... just nutrient rich, real food!
My Health Coach Training and Certification come from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) out of New York City (graduated from their 1 year training program in March 2014). I am also board-certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP) and member of the International Association of Health Coaches (IAHC). I work regularly on my Continued Education for Health Coaching, Nutrition, and Health and Wellness related studies. And in June of 2015 I completed IIN's Immersion program (A 6 month program for Certified Health Coaches to further develop their coaching skills, business practices and knowledge.)
My Professional Background includes working in the field of Pharmaceutical Sales with Pfizer, Inc., as well as holding a volunteer position as a Patient and Family Support Advocate at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital in their Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Working today as a Health Coach, I am dedicated to being your Women's Health and Wellness Advocate, supporting you in your healthy lifestyle transformation!
My Educational Background entails graduating with a BSBA degree from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1995 as well as obtaining my State License to sell Life and Health Insurance in 1993.
My Health Coaching Experience includes coaching more than 80 women in my community (and a handful of men), as well as clients from various parts of the country in both group workshops and individual coaching sessions since September of 2013. Many of the women I have worked with reported: improved digestion, increased energy, weight loss, and reduced cravings for sweets! All of them have felt fully supported in their program and have been inspired to keep moving forward with their individual health and wellness goals.
My Coaching Takes Place in many different locations! I conduct private sessions in person or over the phone. I also use various local venues and office space, as well as Facebook private group pages to conduct group coaching experiences. More recently I have enjoyed holding teleconference style group sessions as well as my own video-style health coaching presentations. My Clientele consists primarily of busy women looking for simple ways to improve the overall quality of their lives, for themselves and their families! In addition to helping my clients transition to eating healthier foods and living a healthier lifestyle, I have also helped them lose excess weight, increase their energy, sleep better at night, control their cravings for sweets and improve their overall digestion! They love that they can re-apply what they have learned towards helping their own families make similar changes!
My Approach is focused on helping my clients find the right balance of nutrient rich foods that best serve their individual health goals and needs. I strive to help raise my clients awareness of their body's signs and symptoms of distress while teaching them simple ways to eat a nutrient rich, whole foods diet! I also help each client develop balance in other important areas of their lifestyle - which includes establishing an individualized physical activity routine.
My Specialization is helping women implement diet and lifestyle changes that increase their energy to a more efficient, consistent and productive level! Having a good, sustaining level of energy is the necessary foundation for being able to accomplish your daily tasks and to work towards achieving any of your goals… and to enjoy your life! Establish an increase in your energy so that you can finally accomplish your health and wellness goals!
